Happy Inauguration Day!

We’ll get back to the ponies tomorrow, never fear, but today, here is some guidance for your inaugural imbibing pleasure.

Avery Ale to the Chief
A ‘presidential’ pale ale, clocking in around 8.75% and full of Cascade hop goodness. Everything from Avery is wonderful (especially their Collaboration not Litigation), so I have high hopes for this.

Ommegang Obamagang
Sure, technically it’s called Ommegang Inauguration Ale since the Feds wouldn’t allow the original name, you and I both know it’s really called Obamagang. It’s a porter-y stout (or stout-y porter) with some hints of kriek and chocolate.

Sixpoint Hop Obama
Most of the kegs of this limited-edition brew from Brooklyn’s smaller craft brewery disappeared on election day, but you may be lucky enough to come across some. It’s well worth some detective work to secure a pint.
