Did I Miss Anything?

Regular service will resume tomorrow, but I have indeed returned from the farthest reaches of Kentucky. Among my discoveries: downtown Lexington seems to largely consist of a stadium and a hole in the ground; Kentucky Horse Park is somewhat light on the ‘horse’ part of their mission at the moment; Kentucky Light is a vastly superior beer to Kentucky Ale (although it’s something of a low bar). Here are a few snapshots – back to racing thoughts shortly!

I couldn't believe downtown Lexington the first time I was there…where were all the people?

Hope you had a terrific trip–did you get to Old Friends?

I wish we'd made it to Old Friends – I think it would have been a lot more fun for the many and various small children than KY Horse Park in its current incarnation, given that there would have been actual horses there.

    Ah well, next time!
